Day 1: 8.00am Adelaide pick up - Travel to Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary via Burra (morning tea) along the Broken Hill road to the lonely township of Yunta (lunch).  From here our outback journey really begins as we leave the smooth tarmac roads behind us. For the next 300 km it's just us, dirt outback roads and the wildlife until we reach the civilisation of Arkaroola Village. After dinner we view our outer solar system of planets, binary stars and galaxies from Arkaroola's Observatory.


Day 2:  Today is dedicated to discovering Lake Eyre and the outback SA region with a Full day scenic flight 


“Taking in the wild red granites, gorges and watercourses of the Ridge Top and Mawson Plateau, the flight will then take you up to the eastern side of Lake Eyre. It will give you a unique opportunity to see the orange red dunes of the Strzelecki and Tirari Deserts from the air, before tracking over Lake Eyre North’s Madigan Gulf Hunt Peninsula to Belt Bay, the lowest part in Australia.  Stop at the iconic William Creek Hotel for lunch and continue onto the Painted Hills, returning via Lake Torrens and the Leigh Creek Coal Fields and Gammon Ranges”


Day 3: Spend the morning travelling on remote tracks to Lake Frome and enjoy the vast expanse of this amazing salt lake.  After lunch we join the world famous "Ridge - top Tour" to witness the amazing views from the heights of Sillers Lookout whilst taking in the informative commentary from one of Arkaroola's knowledgeable guides. 


Day 4:   Time to say good bye to our new friends at Arkaroola and take the whole day to sightsee our way through to Wilpena Resort - calling in to Chambers Gorge for a short walk to an ancient petroglyph site, then lunch in the historic copper mining town of Blinman.  Afternoon scenic drive visiting the Bunyeroo Gorge & Brachina Gorge within the Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park, a geological journey through 640 million years.  Enjoying stunning scenery and wildlife encounters and then a visit to the outstanding Stokes Hill Lookout before checking in to our accommodation at the Wilpena Resort - dinner in the Resort Restaurant.


Day 5: After a leisurely breakfast, begin our scenic return to Adelaide via Hawker and through the wine region of the Clare Valley and arrive in Adelaide late afternoon/ early evening.


Minimum 2 persons Maximum 4 persons / vehicle (For larger groups - We can also run 2 vehicles on a tour - which would allow a maximum capacity of 8 passengers)
